Hospitality was the defining quality of the stay and among the finest we have experienced in any hotel. The team were exceptionally kind, attentive and genuinely jovial, bringing a warmth to every interaction that never felt rehearsed. Their enthusiasm made us feel recognised as people rather than simply accommodated as guests, earning Pan Pacific Jakarta the Finest Hospitality editorial honour.

The room felt modern, spacious and beautifully arranged around the extraordinary view of Jakarta. Its layout was interesting and thoughtfully considered, while the bathroom created its own sense of occasion with the city visible beyond the glass. The design may not be the most remarkable we have encountered, but it was refined, comfortable and exceptionally easy to enjoy.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the elevation of the room created a peaceful atmosphere far removed from the movement of the city below. The team also prepared a curated sleep experience with teas, cookies and fruit, adding a thoughtful sense of ritual to the evening. It was a personal and beautifully judged touch that made the room feel even more inviting.

The Premier Lounge provided an impressive selection of sushi, meat skewers, seafood, desserts, drinks and snacks throughout the stay. The food was enjoyable, the seating was comfortable and the remarkable views made it a lovely place to spend time above Jakarta. Breakfast was equally strong, with an excellent selection and very little to fault.

In room dining was another success. The medium rare burger, chicken wings and fries arrived promptly and were prepared to an excellent standard, with the burger proving especially memorable. The overall quality was consistently strong, even without trying to be overly elaborate.

The finest culinary experience came at Keyaki. The Japanese restaurant offered exceptional sushi and a beautifully composed bento box filled with different flavours, textures and dishes. Combined with the extraordinary city view, it became one of the clearest highlights of the entire stay.

We mentioned on the day that we were marking a personal occasion. While we were spending time in the Premier Lounge, the team quietly entered our room and created beautiful artwork to celebrate it. Returning to discover what they had prepared felt deeply personal and showed just how closely the staff had listened.

The room also contained dates, fresh fruit and other welcome treats, while the curated sleep experience added another thoughtful layer later in the evening. None of these gestures felt generic. Together, they created the feeling that the hotel had become genuinely invested in making our celebration memorable.

Pan Pacific Jakarta presents the city from an extraordinary perspective. From the room, bathroom, lounge and restaurants, Jakarta stretches beneath you in almost every direction, transforming the skyline into a constant part of the experience. Despite the immense scale outside, the hotel itself remains composed, intimate and surprisingly warm.

The traditional Chinese performance in the lobby on our final day added another memorable dimension. It brought movement, colour and celebration into the public spaces, creating a final moment that felt connected to the wider energy of the city.

The gym was spacious, modern and equipped with everything needed for a complete workout. It never felt crowded, and the Bose speaker was a small but noticeable detail that gave the space more atmosphere than the average hotel fitness room. The elevated setting continued the sense that even the practical parts of the hotel had been designed to feel special.
