The Review
Inside the Stay

The stay, told in six parts

The finest hospitality we have found in Jakarta, and the reason the whole stay lifts above the sum of its rooms and its restaurants. A junior suite high in the Luminary Tower, and a team that quietly turned an ordinary date into a proper occasion.

The Room We Would Book

A Club-access Junior Suite, high in the tower

The Junior Suite is where the hotel is at its best, the timber-lined dressing corridor and the living-area sofa turning the room into a proper piece of design rather than a good room. Ask for one on the highest floor available.

Pair it with Club access. The Lounge here is one of the strongest we have used, and it lifts the daily rhythm of the stay, breakfast, afternoon tea and cocktails all set against the same wall of glass.

A Curious Detail

Pan Pacific Jakarta occupies levels 71 through 90 of Luminary Tower, yet contains only 158 rooms and suites. On level 90 sits Keyaki, which the hotel describes as Indonesia's highest Japanese fine dining restaurant, giving guests one of the country's most elevated dining experiences.
