The service throughout the stay was polished, courteous and consistently dependable. Every request was handled with professionalism, and the team created an atmosphere that felt calm and reassuring. Arrival could have included a little more personal warmth or ceremony, but the experience remained smooth from beginning to end.

The room was spacious, elegant and immediately comfortable, with a generous bathroom and a layout that made the space easy to enjoy. Its traditional design gives it a quiet residential character, although certain finishes now feel ready for a thoughtful refresh. Even so, the room remains refined and provides a welcome sense of calm close to Orchard Road.

Sleep and Comfort
Four Seasons has always set the benchmark for hotel bedding, and the Singapore property captures that standard beautifully. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, with excellent pillows and the kind of softness that makes every night feel deeply restorative. You almost always have an exceptional sleep in a Four Seasons bed, and this stay was no exception.

The Culinary Experience
Dining was consistently excellent, with dishes that were beautifully prepared and confidently presented. There was no single meal that became the defining memory of the stay, but the quality remained strong throughout. The Chinese New Year inspired desserts waiting in the room were an excellent touch, while the Four Seasons branded coconuts were some of the best we have ever tasted.

The fitness facilities were a genuine highlight and among the finest we have experienced in a city hotel. The gym is spacious, impressively equipped and clearly designed for guests who take their training seriously. It adds considerable value to the stay and gives the property a stronger sense of wellbeing than many hotels in its category.

The room is spacious, the bedding is exceptional, the dining is excellent and the fitness facilities stand among the strongest we have experienced. There is a reassuring quality throughout the property that makes the hotel easy to trust and even easier to settle into.
Its greatest strength lies in how effortlessly it provides the fundamentals of luxury. Everything feels calm, professional and carefully maintained, while thoughtful additions such as the Chinese New Year desserts and branded coconuts bring warmth to the experience. The more traditional design has its own charm, although certain areas would benefit from a considered renewal, and the arrival could occasionally feel more personal.

Arrival feels calm and efficiently handled. The team takes care of the essentials with professionalism, allowing you to move into the experience without delay. A more personal welcome would have added greater occasion, but the atmosphere immediately feels composed and comfortable.
The Bed, and a Welcome
The room offers a welcome sense of space, with a generous bathroom and a layout that feels easy to live in. Its traditional character becomes more noticeable with time, yet it also contributes to the feeling of a private residence rather than a highly designed showroom. The exceptional Four Seasons bed quickly becomes the detail you appreciate most.
The Restaurant
The hotel is at its best when the day is allowed to unfold slowly. Time in the excellent gym brings energy to the morning, while the calm surroundings and consistently strong dining make it easy to remain within the property. Back in the room, the Chinese New Year desserts and beautifully branded coconuts provide thoughtful finishing touches that make the experience feel more personal.

The bed and the sleep are the reason to be here, so ask for a room on the higher of the guestroom floors, away from Orchard Boulevard where possible. Quiet is the picture worth waking to.
If value allows, one of the Executive Suites brings the residential ease of the wider hotel into a proper sitting-room, which is where the Four Seasons Singapore is at its most itself.
The Four Seasons Singapore opened in 1994 on Orchard Boulevard, a quiet turning just off the shopping length of Orchard Road. It was among the earlier Four Seasons hotels in the region, and it has always traded on calm rather than spectacle.
The building is smaller and more intimate than the newer towers around it, closer in feeling to a large private house. It is known for its collection of Asian and European art, hung throughout the public rooms and corridors, and for a residential quiet unusual for a hotel so near the centre.
That restraint is its character and, in a sense, its limit. The rooms are comfortable and the sleep is exceptional, but the interiors have begun to show their years against a newer generation of Singapore hotels, and the service, while entirely professional, can feel a step removed from the warmth of the very best.
A Curious Detail
Four Seasons Singapore contains a collection of approximately 1,500 works of Asian and international art. Rather than presenting the pieces as a formal exhibition, the hotel weaves them throughout its rooms and public spaces, helping the property feel closer to a cultivated private residence than a conventional city hotel.
