Hospitality

Arrival was warm and relaxed and staff remained kind, but occasional confusion, the hosted dinner bill and the final morning housekeeping refusal prevented the service from feeling fully resolved.

Room and Design

Exceptional natural light, park views, bronze details, green tiles, a beautiful minibar and remarkably coherent use of colour made this one of the strongest rooms of the trip.

Sleep and Comfort

Powerful air conditioning, soft ambient light and a calm room supported an easy stay, though the sleep experience did not surpass Four Seasons or Capella.

The Culinary Experience

The rooftop dinner was excellent from tuna tartare through ribeye to apple crumble. Breakfast was good but ordinary and lacked the distinction of the evening experience.

The Guest Experience

Complimentary lounge bites, a generous minibar, terraces and direct mall access made the hotel highly practical. A loose minibar handle was one small maintenance imperfection.

Character and Sense of Place

Thai women artists, vivid colour, Lumpini Park and the surrounding city give Andaz an expressive urban identity unlike the riverfront hotels.

Facilities and Wellbeing

The pool view was a highlight, the gym and changing rooms were excellent, and the Kohler shower delivered the best shower of the trip. The bidet function, however, did not work properly.

Editorial Verdict

Andaz One Bangkok earns Three Ovelle through an exceptional physical product and a clear personality.

Its room, shower, robes, pool view and rooftop dinner are among the trip’s strongest individual experiences.

Service depth, breakfast and several small operational inconsistencies keep it below Four Ovelle for now.
